One Year

Clara is now one year old. She now weighs 21 pounds 3 ounces and is 29 1/2 inches long (or tall, since she stands most of the time now). She did have a party with presents and cake. She really liked all of her presents - even better than the wrapping paper. She must be growing up. And she really enjoyed the cake too. She obviously has a sweet tooth. So now she gets to work on her second year.

And it opens again. Wow!	Grandma and Grandpa Commer also sent a book. I'm good at turning the pages.	This has some interesting pictures. And music too!	Great-grandma and Great-grandpa Commer sent a doll.
I want to hold it Now, Mommy!	Mommy and Daddy got me Lego Quattros.	I like the colors.	And I really like the mess I can make. Notice that Cassie has claimed the wrapping paper.
Now it's time for cake.	My first piece of cake. How am I supposed to do this?	Fingers in the mouth - it's all coming back to me now.	Ooooh! Frosting!
Guess I can eat that too.	This is such fun! And so messy! I love it!	All that sugar is making me thirsty.	Are you taking pictures of this? Give me that camera!
It's really getting all over now.	Guess I'll have to lick it off.	I think I'll eat my hand.	C'mon Daddy, pick me up!

Clara likes to read. In this short movie she reads us a postcard, showing a great range of emotion. Perhaps she'll be a poet some day. (2MB)
