Day 3 - Part 2

We hopped on the Sydney Explorer bus at Mrs. Macquarie's Chair to take a tour of Sydney. The bus is a very good way to get to know the city. They run continuously during the day and you can get on and off at any of the stops. We got off at the Chinatown stop and went through the Chinese Garden of Friendship. See the pictures below.

Willow trees.

The Lake of Brightness.

Chinese royalty in front of the Peace Boat Pavilion.

A view from the Hall of Longevity.

The lake and the Twin Pavilion.

A waterfall.

The waterfall with the Rising Jade Pavilion in the background.

Inside the Clear View Pavilion.

Looking across the Lake of Brightness at the Twin Pavilion.

The entrance to Chinatown.

After visiting the Friendship Garden, we walked to Chinatown (just a block away) and had lunch. Yum Cha (Dim Sum) in an area like Chinatown is a great experience. We have good Chinese food in KC, but nothing like the variety you get here - and at a very reasonable price!
